Rebuilding Tsurphu Zuri Monastery Campaign
On 29 February 2004, we have made an appointment to see Zuri Trung Pa Jigme Rinpoche in Shenzhen, who is responsible for Tsurphu Zuri Monastery rebuilding assignment. At the same time, we would like to further understand the latest development of fund raising as well as the reconstruction status of the monastery. In accordance to Ripoche Jigme, His Holiness the 17 th Gyalwa Karmapa has instructed him to take over this project from Venerable Drupon Dechen Rinpoche (who has been appointed by H. H. the 16 th Gyalwa Karmapa to reconstruct Tsurphu before) since 1996 for 8 years. Still, the reconstruction is under progress currently. However, Jigme Rinpoche has been prohibited to leave the boarder once H.H. the 17 th Gyalwa Karmapa has left Tibet for India. As a result, the fund raising process has been impeded as well as the rebuilding project. In addition, living expenses is also an issue for Tsurphu as the number of monks inhabited in Tsurphu has reached 430 at this time. Reconstruction and maintenance of Tsurphu was extremely difficult because Tibetan people were impoverished and any support they could provide was very limited. In this case, on behalf of Jigme Rinpoche, Shen Pen would like to invite all the overseas dharma friends to support Tsurphu Zuri Monastery rebuilding project, so as to protect Buddhism and to make all kinds of merits come true.
Once we have fully realized the difficulties behind, we have committed to Jigme Rinpoche that 80% of our (Shen Pen Company Limited) revenue will be allocated for rebuilding Tsurphu Zuri Monastery purpose. We will continue our support until the reconstruction has been completed. Once you have shopped at Shen Pen, we will present your name to Lamas who reside in Tsurphu Monastery so that they will dedicate their prayers and all the merits to you.
